Girlguiding at Christ Church.

This was first established over 50 years ago and is thriving!

A group of Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides use the Church premises and gardens for their weekly meetings.

Each unit is run by qualified leaders and the programme offered to the girls adheres to the policies of the Girlguiding Movement with the Promise Law at its centre.

86th Leicester Rainbows.

Rainbows are the youngest members of Girlguiding. Girls aged between 5 and 7 years old meet at Christ Church on a Friday
 evening between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.

If your daughter enjoys time out of doors, crafts, messy play, challenges, games, singing, laughter and having fun then Rainbows is where she will find it.

86th Leicester Brownies.

We meet on Mondays from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.
We are a busy unit and our activities include games, badgework, craft, songs and ceremonies. We go on trips and
visits, sleepovers and holidays too! Brownies,
who are aged
7-10 years old are
encouraged to be friendly, to work together,
help others and have lots of fun!

Since Lockdown restrictions have been lifted, we are now
meeting again and need new members.
Please email Linda Moore (leader) at: for information.

86th Leicester Guides.
Our group of girls aged 10-14 years enjoy a varied programme of challenges, service projects and adventurous activities with opportunities to go on trips and visits, sleepovers and camps. Weekly meetings are on Tuesdays from 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Guides enjoy working in friendship groups with their peers and have fun whilst learning leadership skills and experiencing being part of a team. Recent activities have included service projects on our local allotments, helping at Christ Church's Christmas Fayre, a Glamorama Sleepover and collecting things for shoeboxes to send to British Army medics in Sierra Leone.
